 Here are the Basic Domino Rules: 

 Set-up: A double-six domino set (28 tiles) is used. Players typically draw 7 dominoes each. The remaining tiles form the "boneyard". 

 Starting the Game: The player with the highest double (double-six, then double-five, and so on) usually starts, or the player with the double-six can initiate the play. 

 Gameplay: Players take turns placing dominoes, matching the number on one end of the layout. Doubles are placed crosswise. 

 Passing: If a player cannot make a match, they draw from the boneyard until they can play or the boneyard is empty. 

 Ending the Round: The round ends when a player empties their hand or the game is blocked (no one can play). 

 Scoring: If a player empties their hand, their team scores points based on the remaining dominoes in the opponents' hands. If the game is blocked, the team with the lowest total pip count on their remaining dominoes wins the round and scores points based on the opponents' total. 

 Game End: Games are often played to a predetermined score (e.g., 100 or 200 points) or to a set number of rounds (e.g., 4 games in Chiva). 

 Variations: Some variations include special bonus points for playing the last domino on both sides of the layout (Capicu) or for playing the double-blank as the last domino (Chuchaso).

This is a night where the community come together for an evening of live music, sidewalk activities, and pop-up markets! You’ll also find unique offers and specials from local businesses within the West Village, and activities such as a FREE salsa or bachata Latin dancing class + dancing in front of Sailor & The Dock!

Bailando Bash is a monthly Latin Dance party that coincides with the West Village District’s Fourth Friday. We aim to provide a fun and unique downtown experience for the existing Oklahoma City dance community, while also welcoming any West Village District passersby into potentially taking up a new hobby! Every social will include an introductory Latin dance lesson. taught by volunteer instructors from various dance studios in the OKC metro area. We then dance until 10pm, with music being played from the genres of salsa, bachata, merengue, cha cha cha, and kizomba!

 What to Expect at 90s & Sip 

Get ready to step back into the dopest decade! It’s time to dress in your best 90s attire!  From the moment you walk in, you’ll be greeted with 90s vibes everywhere think bold colors, throwback jams, and a room full of creative energy.

You’ll grab your drink, settle in with your canvas, and follow along with beginner-friendly prompts to create your own retro-inspired masterpiece (cassette tapes, sneakers, neon pop art it’s all fair game!). No pressure, no rules just fun, freestyle painting with a nostalgic twist.

Expect lots of laughs, plenty of photo ops, giveaways, and a curated playlist that’ll have you singing along to all your favorite 90s R&B and hip-hop hits while you paint. 

By the end of the night, you’ll walk away with a one-of-a-kind canvas, a new vibe, and maybe even some new friends.

Come as you are to Sound Waves: A Queer Dance Party hosted monthly by Oklahoma Pride Alliance at Sailor and the Dock. Everyone is welcome to join in on the fabulous fun, dance the night away and be their fabulous selves in a fun, welcoming, and safe space for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and our allies.  Most recognize “witching hour” as the time in the middle of the night, harnessing the magick of the moon. 

We’ve decided it’s time to spice things up and harness the power of the sun to fuel our craftings and practices - there will be vendors and readers to guide you through your journey in connecting with yourself, your ancestors, and the benevolent elementals! 

 Move your body to the intentionally curated beats to release the old and welcome the new abundance that flows in from the solar flares. Get your tarot cards pulled, see what the colors of your Aura hold, take up some space on the dance floor and treat yourself to some goodies that the vendors have in store!
